YellowBird is seeking an experienced Site Safety Coordinator to oversee and carry out daily safety operations on a construction job site in Hudson, SD. You will keep the site OSHA compliant, run regular inspections and safety meetings, and help maintain a strong culture of safety across all crews and subcontractors. This is a project-based engagement placed through the YellowBird network, with an immediate start.
Pay and Schedule
- $62.00 per hour
- $150 per day per diem, paid separately for every day of the project
- 10 days on, 4 days off rotation with 10-hour shifts
- On-site in Hudson, SD
- Target start date: Monday, October 19
- Paid bi-weekly through the YellowBird platform, with payment released within two business days of client approval of your timecards
What You’ll Do
- Oversee and execute daily safety operations on a construction job site
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure OSHA compliance
- Lead safety meetings and toolbox talks with crews and subcontractors
- Identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to close them out
- Document inspections, incidents, and corrective actions accurately
- Promote a strong safety culture across all trades on site
Requirements
- OSHA 30
- CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- 3-5 years of site-level safety experience in construction or a related field
- Ability to travel to and work on-site in Hudson, SD for the length of the rotation
Pay: $62.00 per hour
