Job Description

YellowBird is seeking an experienced Aerial Lift / Scissor Lift Safety Trainer to deliver an on-site safety training session for up to 10 maintenance employees in Hays, Kansas.

We're looking for a knowledgeable safety professional who can confidently deliver classroom instruction and hands-on scissor lift operator training.

Not local to Hays? No problem! We welcome traveling safety professionals and offer mileage/travel reimbursement based on your location.

Job Details

• Preferred Dates: Wednesday, October 28 or Thursday, October 29, 2026
• Flexible Scheduling: Other October dates may be considered based on availability and customer approval
• Time: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM Central Time
• Duration: One 4-hour training session
• Pay: $522 per completed session
• Travel: Mileage/travel reimbursement available based on location
• Class Size: Up to 10 participants

Training Responsibilities

• Deliver a 4-hour, OSHA- and ANSI-aligned scissor lift safety training for up to 10 employees.
• Cover equipment inspections, fall protection, PPE, safe operation, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures.
• Lead hands-on scissor lift exercises and evaluate participant competency.
• Provide certificates of completion and required training documentation using YellowBird templates.

Training Logistics

• Customer provides the scissor lift and training space.
• Indoor maneuvering and outdoor elevated operation areas are available.
• Trainer must bring a laptop and training materials and confirm space/PPE requirements in advance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Aerial Lift / MEWP operator training, including hands-on instruction.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA requirements and ANSI A92 standards.
• CSP, CHST, OHST, or documented Aerial Lift / MEWP training experience preferred.
