Job Summary
The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays on patients under the supervision of a radiologist or physician. The role involves preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and basic radiographic exams
Prepare and position patients correctly for imaging procedures
Operate radiology equipment safely and efficiently
Follow physician orders and imaging protocols
Ensure radiation safety standards are maintained for patients and staff
Verify patient identity and explain procedures before exams
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Assist radiologists and physicians with diagnostic procedures
Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology or related field
Certification such as:
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
BLS Required
Required Experience
3 year of Radiology Technician experience
Pay: $75.34 per hour
