Position Summary:
The HR Generalist plays a critical role in attracting, hiring, and onboarding top talent while supporting a broad range of human resources functions. This role will have a primary focus on Recruiting and will partner closely with leaders to understand workforce needs, drive effective recruiting strategies, and deliver a high-quality candidate and employee experience. In addition to talent acquisition, the HR Generalist will support the HR team as needed including employee relations, performance management, and HR operations in a shared services environment. This role can be remote or hybrid if the candidate lives near Canton, MA, San Rafael, CA or Glen Elyn, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
- Leads the full-cycle recruiting across a variety of roles
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and sourcing strategies
- Proactively source candidates using multiple channels (job boards, LinkedIn, networking)
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role and company culture
- Manage the candidate experience from initial contact through offer and onboarding
- Develop talent pipelines for critical and high-volume roles
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics (time to fill, job posting budgets, candidate flow)
- Ensure a consistent, equitable, and compliant hiring process
HR Generalist Responsibilities
- Supports HR leadership on projects
- Provide guidance to leadership on employee relations matters, including performance, conduct, and conflict resolution
- Support performance management processes, including training
- Assist in employee engagement initiatives and culture building efforts
- Partner with HR leadership on talent development and succession planning
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity
Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation to ensure a smooth transition
- Is passionate about the candidate to employee experience
- Partner with managers to create effective onboarding plans
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 3–5 years of HR experience including proven success managing full-cycle recruitment across multiple functions
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to influence and partner effectively with leaders at all levels
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems
- Experience with MS Office Suite including Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume or multi-site recruiting
- Experience with AdP Workforce Now
- Professional certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
- Experience supporting both recruiting and broader HR generalist functions
