Position Overview
We’re looking for a sharp, technically-minded Sales & Estimating Specialist to own the quoting process from RFQ to customer follow-up. This role is ideal for someone who understands prints, machining, and fabrication — and enjoys balancing customer communication with accurate, fast-paced quoting.
The majority of your time will be spent handling incoming RFQs, estimating jobs in ProShop ERP, and managing customer relationships. When not quoting, you’ll work with leadership to improve sales and marketing tools and help grow the business through marketing and outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
RFQ Handling & Estimating (70–80%)
- Review, prioritize, and respond to incoming RFQs from customers
- Enter RFQs into our quoting system, ProShop ERP
- Work with production managers or engineers (if needed) to clarify technical requirements
- Prepare accurate quotes based on labor, material, and machine time inputs
- Serve as the main point of contact for quoting customers
- Keep customers informed of quote status, clarify specs, and answer technical questions
- Build long-term relationships that lead to repeat work and referrals
Sales & Business Development Support (20–30%)
- Create/update internal sales tools: capability decks, quote templates, brochures, etc.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and reach out to potential customers to share capabilities and find any synergies
Qualifications
- Background in CNC machining, welding, or fabrication (even at a basic level)
- Familiarity with quoting software, MRP/ERP systems, or ProShop ERP
- Comfortable reading basic prints/drawings (GD&T knowledge a plus)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Nice-to-Haves
- CAD/CAM exposure (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, etc.) for estimating purposes
- Marketing or content creation experience (Canva, LinkedIn, Mailchimp, etc.)
