CNC Mill Set-Up Machinist

*Job Overview*

We have a great opportunity for a CNC Mill Set-Up Machinist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate, skilled machinist who wants to utilize their skills to produce world-class machined parts for a variety of customers.

The candidate will be responsible for reading and understanding the blueprint, setting up the CNC machine with tooling, running first article and production machining, making small G-Code edits, deburring parts, and doing self-inspections on parts. The applicant must be drug free.

YMT currently has the following Mills:
(3-axis) Haas VF-4, VF-3, VF-2
(5-axis) Haas UMC-1250, UMC 500

*Qualifications*

• PASSION for metal machining
• 5 years experience in machining and setups
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding tolerances, and other GD&T callouts
• Knowledge of CNC Mills
• Knowledge of Haas controller
• Loads parts in the machine, cycles machine, and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools
• Ability to inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, pin gages, etc.
• Ability to take part from raw stock to finished, deburred part within all tolerances
• Understanding of G-Code and ability to modify as required
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team

Monday – Thursday | (4) Ten-Hour Shifts (3) Days Off
6:00am – 4:30pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
