Duties:
- Load and operate laser cutting machine to cut metal according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine the correct dimensions and tolerances for the finished product
- Set up and adjust machine settings such as speed, power, and focal length to achieve desired cutting results
- Monitor the machine operation to ensure it is running smoothly and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular maintenance of the machine
Skills:
- Proficient in blueprint reading and able to interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with CNC laser cutting
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately
- Ability to operate a forklift to load material and dump scrap
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, precision, and technical skills. Candidates should have prior experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently are also important for success in this role.
Notes:
Hours – Monday thru Thursday 6am-4:30pm
1 week vacation/sick time available
