Job summary
This is a Second Shift Position.
We are seeking a Laser Operator to join our fabrication team. The Laser Operator will be responsible with assisting in running both a CNC Fiber Laser and Plasma Table.
Description:
- Operate CNC Fiber Laser and Plasma Table Cutting Machines.
- Select and set up lenses based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine.
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually, or using hoist.
- Maintain parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
- Monitor fill level of bulk tank system.
- Keep work area and machines clean and organized.
Requirements:
- Must have experience with Mazak Fiber Laser and Hypertherm Plasma Table or any other commercial CNC Fiber Lasers and Plasma Tables.
- Must have knowledge about shield gases used during laser cutting operation.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities.
- Must provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Follow all company rules and policies.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
- Able to work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to grow and learn to become a Laser Operator.
