- Cleans, fills, extracts, and restructures teeth, using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements. Provides preventative dental services to patient, such as applications of fluoride and sealants to teeth and education in oral and dental hygiene.
- Develops, documents, and implements dental guidelines and protocols that focus on high quality patient care and office efficiency.
- Documents dental visit in the electronic dental records system.
- Coordinates patient care with the dental hygienist and dental assistants, including review and co-signing of patient records as designated by policy and procedure, and refers patients to dental specialists as needed.
- Identifies potential opportunities to improve services, suggests solutions and new innovations and participates in their implementation.
- Reviews and participates in the Dental Quality Assurance Program.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Doctor of Dentistry (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Medical Dentistry D.M.D. degree from an accredited dental school. Active, valid Arizona dental license and federal DEA license required. Basic Life Support certification required.
Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year experience as a dentist in a dental office.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
