About the Role
The Business Development Manager is a pure hunting role completely focused on net-new logo generation which requires referenceable experience with end-to-end sales cycle in Des Moines, IA. This is not a farming or account management role: it is built for someone who thrives on creating new opportunities. This role is based in Des Moines, and is best suited for someone with deep local market relationships.
What You'll Do
Generate & Close New Business
- Build and manage a self-generated pipeline of net-new logo opportunities.
- Prospect, qualify, and multi-thread into target accounts using your own playbook for securing first meetings with buyers.
- Plan, execute, and attend local market events to establish the YASH brand in Des Moines. Then own the post-event follow-up, converting attendee interest into qualified opportunities.
- Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: discovery, solution shaping, competitive positioning, negotiation, and close.
- Consistently meet or exceed annual new-logo quotas with large deal sizes and expedited sales cycles.
Build Executive Relationships & Win Trust
- Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at prospective clients.
- Clearly and confidently articulate why a client should choose YASH over competitors.
- Represent YASH's value proposition and delivery credibility in competitive sales situations.
Set Up Teams for Long-Term Success
- Partner with Client Partners and delivery leadership to ensure a seamless handoff of newly closed accounts.
- Provide accurate, realistic scoping input during the sales process so commitments made are commitments kept.
- Maintain real-time pipeline and forecast records in the CRM and provide regular visibility into deal status.
What You'll Need (Required)
- 8–12 years of experience in IT services or consulting sales, with a demonstrated, consistent record of personally acquiring new logos.
- Proven track record of self-generated pipeline: 60–80% of your pipeline has historically come from your own prospecting, not marketing or partner referrals.
- Clear, verifiable quota attainment of 80–120% across multiple years.
- Experience selling IT services, consulting, or complex solutions.
- Track record closing deals in the $250K–$3M range with 6–12 month sales cycles.
- Deep local market presence in Des Moines region with an existing network.
What Sets You Apart (Preferred)
- You've sold to CXO level buyers and opened enterprise accounts others couldn't crack.
- You have deep expertise in one or more of our core industries and can speak buyers’ language day one: manufacturing, life sciences/healthcare, and energy.
- You have a deep comprehension of the platforms and technical ecosystems our work centers on.
- You have a proven track record winning displacement deals against larger systems integrator/consulting firms and can articulate how you convinced the client to switch.
- Deep expertise or exposure to manufacturing, finance and/or insurance.
