We’re Yardstick, a boutique dog hotel in Nashville. Our suites-only concept aims to reimagine dog hospitality by offering more personalized care in a stress-free, elevated environment.
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our leadership team and oversee one of our (soon-to-be) four locations in Nashville.
Responsibilities
- Manage team of ~12 employees (full and part-time), including upfront training and ongoing development.
- Scheduling and labor cost management.
- Customer relations and guest satisfaction.Dog and employee safety.
- Facility management. Including supply purchasing and maintenance of a clean/sanitary facility.
- Community outreach and events.
- Work closely with CEO on business planning and process improvements.
Requirements
- 5 years of people management experience.
- Prior experience in the pet services industry preferred, but not required.
- Available to work nights, weekends and holidays -- we are open 365 days a year.
- Excellent customer service and people skills.
- High integrity, trustworthy and dependable.
- Ambitious and excited by the prospect of building a growing business.
