Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our dynamic team. This role involves teaching dance classes, managing classroom environments, and fostering a love for movement and performance. The Dance Instructor will play a vital role in inspiring students through creative lesson planning and effective classroom management.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including ballet, musical theater, hip hop, jazz and others.
- Teach engaging dance classes while maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior to ensure safety and promote respectful interaction among students.
- Plan lessons that incorporate elements of choreography, technique, and performance skills.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or other educators to support student development and address individual needs.
- Maintain organized lesson plans and classroom materials, ensuring a structured learning environment.
- Ensure students are following studio policies, rules, and dress code requirements.
- Communicate regularly with studio owner/management regarding classes, students, and schedules
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Dance.
- Ability to develop a curriculum/Lesson Plan.
- Ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.
