Overview
We are seeking an experienced Routing Coordinator to manage daily routing for major retail accounts, including Target, Walmart, Costco, and other national customers. The ideal candidate has strong carrier coordination experience, understands routing guides, and can handle time-sensitive shipments with accuracy and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments for retail and e-commerce orders.
- Manage routing portals and EDI systems (Target, Walmart, Costco, etc.).
- Verify shipping documentation and labeling compliance per customer requirements.
- Communicate with carriers, dispatchers, and warehouse teams to ensure on-time departures.
- Maintain routing logs and performance reports.
- Troubleshoot routing issues and escalate delays or compliance risks.
- Support continuous improvement in routing efficiency and cost control.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in routing coordination or transportation logistics (retail routing required).
- Proficiency with retailer routing portals (Target, Walmart, Costco, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of bill of lading (BOL), ASN, and EDI shipping processes.
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Experience in a 3PL or distribution center environment preferred.
