What You Will Be Doing:
The Operational Excellence Specialist leads key initiatives supporting the performance improvement of the branches parts operations, customer experience and revenue growth of the Yancey Parts group. The purpose is to work collaborative across the Parts, Service and Sales groups. The Specialist will also be responsible for developing and deploying daily/weekly/monthly management reporting packages to support the local branches to improve operational performance. The role includes active engagement with CAT and other OEM representatives on parts business initiatives, i.e. CAT Parts Excellence program. This position is also responsible for promoting a safe workplace and developing a “Safety First” culture.
- Develop Parts growth strategies and customer experience plans
- Design and implement customer relationship improvements (projects/programs)
- Lead operational efficiency projects targeting the Yancey Parts and Service relationship
- Provide SME knowledge of business products and value propositions of the Yancey Parts and Service division
- Write business proposals and prepare project plans supporting Earth moving parts group program enhancements
- Build relationships and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders of Programs
- Identify, map, leverage business strengths and customer needs to support program development
The Specialist will also be responsible for developing and deploying daily/weekly/monthly management reporting packages to support the local branches to improve operational performance. Primary Responsibilities:
- Participate in required safety programs and ensure that all employees complete safety training and work in a safe manner.
- Responsible for the identification, development and implementation plan of Branch performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison for CAT and other OEM representatives.
- Support and train employees on Standard Operating Procedures and ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed.
- Develop project plans supporting key initiatives in the EM division.
- Plan, enhance and develop financial reporting to better control Parts expenses.
- Monitor inventory levels to assure customer needs can be met on a timely basis.
- Assist in the development of revenue and profit goals, inventory requirements, and headcount requirements supporting EM Parts budget purposes.
- Lead required training supporting key initiatives.
- Become proficient in change management.
- Collaborate with Parts Sales teams strategies for promotions and products
- Support and communicate regularly with the Sales Teams
- Refine monthly Parts reporting tools with the goals of ease of us and transparency.
- Develop monitoring of key initiative performance post implementation.
- Become a “champion” of a process improvement culture.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Who We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this position you should have prior experience working in the heavy equipment, truck or automotive industry, specifically in parts or service. You should show prior leadership skills. The ability to work with and motivate a team is required.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience required.
- Specific industry, project manager, or supply chain systems training desired.
- Minimum of 5-years of experience.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Possess the necessary problem-solving skills to meet the needs of our customers and employees.
- Excellent people skills with customer service experience.
- Customer Service management experience.
