1. Summary of Position
The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Analytics plays a critical role in ensuring that Yamamotoyama’s supply chain functions efficiently, reliably, and in alignment with the company's goals. By managing the supply chain processes of demand and forecast planning, S&OP, master production planning, and materials requirement planning for materials and finished goods produced at Yamamotoyama USA or third parties. This role helps optimize costs, materials compliance, materials quality, and customer satisfaction while mitigating risks and supporting sustainable and environmentally responsible practices.
2. Essential Functions:

Develop and implement supply chain strategies that support Yamamotoyama's growth, enhance product quality, and improve operational efficiency. Analyses include network strategy analysis, make v. buy finished goods, and all-in costing for new partners or co-manufacturers

Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of food and related products

Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management

Monitor inventory levels and develop processes to minimize waste and optimize inventory, ensuring resiliency of our vendor/supplier program

Develop and implement processes to ensure compliance with food safety suppliers verification programs and industry standard

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Customer Development, Marketing, and Finance, to support Yamamotoyama's overall business objectives

Creates Key Performance Indicators aligned with business priorities and embraced by executive leadership that are meaningful, customer-centric, aggressive, and achievable, and ensures these are well communicated and visible across the organization from operators to the leadership team.

3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge

Strong understanding of supply chain best practices, including procurement, logistics, distribution, and inventory management

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies that improve operational efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectivenes.
Skills

Strong data analysis, Excel, and Power BI skills.

Ability to train the team on the ERP system

Leverage internal systems (Sage X3) to uncover key KPI’s and report relevant data to key stakeholders.
Abilities

Strong Communicator – You must be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internally and externally, and galvanize stakeholders' commitment around compliance and regulatory needs

Continuous Improvement - Consistently analyze processes to uncover inefficiencies and implement a process review system that continuously improves SOPs.

5. Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field. (Master’s degree is a plus)
- 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on food manufacturing.
Typical Working Conditions:
- Standard office environment; involves frequent traversal of the production floor in Pomona, which may include exposure to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
- Up to 20% travel for business needs.
Equipment Used:
Computer, office productivity machinery (calculator, copy machine, printer), and specialized ERP software.
The annual pay range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $150,000. Our pay ranges are guided by the discipline, level, and experience required.
