Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Work/Audit to ensure employees and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards, following Yamaha Quality Principles.
- Support manufacturing to achieve safety, productivity and quality targets through process design, optimization projects and Kaizen initiatives.
- Ensure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
- Responsible for training employees about products and processes, as well as identifying needs.
- Responsible for daily indirect management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
- Ability to work production lines roles, as needed.
- Must complete Yamaha’s 5-Star training within 2 years.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Strong work ethic, on-time attendance performance, with a high degree of reliability is required to be successful in this role.
- Good mechanical aptitude and skills required
- Must interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Enough physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs. repeatedly); standing and walking for prolonged periods of time; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, working overhead and operating motorized equipment.
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) required.
- 1-year manufacturing environment experience using air and hand tools, required.
- 1- year Yamaha experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Office suite (proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel), required.
