Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Assist guests with food handling, dietary restrictions, and menu questions to enhance their dining experience.
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while respecting guest preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service in a fine dining or nightclub setting.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the visit.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms.
- Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation, handling, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability in sales techniques including upselling and suggestive selling to enhance guest experience.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of OpenTable reservation system is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a lively hospitality setting.
