As a Front Desk Receptionist, you are the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for managing patient check-in and check-out processes, verifying insurance information, handling phone communications, and collecting patient payments.
What You Will Do In This Role
- Greet patients warmly in person and on the phone.
- Collect and verify patients information and benefits as you check them in.
- Collect patient payments as required and maintain a balanced cash box.
- Confirm benefits, copays, deductibles and referral requirements.
- Respond to inquires from patients.
- Schedule appointments.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA).
Qualifications You Will Need
- High School Diploma or GED
- One or more years of working experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Ability to interact with staff and patients with a professional attitude.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Basic knowledge in medical terminology and healthcare billing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
