**Job Summary**

**Minimum Qualifications**
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Journeyman Level Electrician 01 with Administrator's card.
- Completion of an acceptable two-year apprenticeship training program and journeyman level status.
- Ability to accurately read blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to install, modify and upgrade new and existing electrical systems, component parts and other related electrical equipment.
- Ability to install lighting fixtures, power outlets, control devices and heaters.
- Ability to run conduit and pull wire for new and existing electrical installations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance service on electrical equipment.
- Ability to implement planned service scheduling, estimating and task functions of electrical equipment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical theory, Federal, Washington State and local electrical codes and the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
- Demonstrated experience working with electrical tools and materials, electrical instruments and test equipment.
- Proven skills in reading and interpreting instrumentation.
- Ability to stand, walk, crawl or bend for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work at extreme heights and confined spaces.
- Must have intermediate computer skills using Work and Excel.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with district staff, general public and supervisors.
- Record of dependability, flexibility and regular attendance. Must possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical equipment and control systems (motors, generators, dryers, refrigerators, overhead doors and kitchen equipment).
- Ability to perform load calculations of current electrical service panels.
- Ability to perform lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Ability to estimate and order materials, and set timeline for project completion.
- Ability to manage and oversee projects.
- Ability to prepare and write the Scope of Work for bid projects.
- Experience working with outside firms to develop and correct design plans.
- Assist in project contractor selection.
- Oversee quality and efficiency of work performed.
- Provide assistance and training to department staff.
- Perform other general maintenance functions as determined by the Director of Maintenance.
- Oversee work performed by other department staff members.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure proper operation and settings.
- Pay Range $42.18-$47.50 per hour
