Key Responsibilities
- Design custom magnetics (Transformers and Chokes) in various mechanical platforms (plastic package, connectors, etc.) to meet system performance goals for data communication products.
- Model, evaluate designs and test new products to comply with specifications.
- Evaluate and improve current designs and processes, while providing plant support on new and existing designs.
- Attend program, staff, company and design review meetings.
- Attend IEEE, ISO and other standard compliance training, as needed.
- Prepare documentation, including component, subassembly, top-level assembly drawings, ECNs, AVLs, Failure Analysis reports, etc.
- Daily communication with cross-functional teams to create new designs and bring products to market.
- Work with customers and factory to perform failure analysis as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 1 years experience in electrical design of magnetics and/or radio frequency (RF) products preferred.
- Knowledge of material selection, including ferrites, wire, PCB, and SMT components.
- Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical simulation tools such as P-Spice, Ansys HFSS, and AutoCad.
- Familiarity with test equipment, including network analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Strong background in product quality, failure analysis, and compliance to industry’s quality standards, such as IATF-16949.

- The salary range for this role is $70,000-$90,000, based on experience.
