Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Sr Electrical Engineer is responsible for sustaining/value engineering projects and evaluating and improving electrical control system boards in collaboration with the product design team.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and improve spa, pool, and bath electrical control systems and control panel boards (PCBA).
- Investigate and utilize new technologies where appropriate.
- Investigate and resolve product problems on new and legacy products.
- Work with the electrical design team to improve the product manufacturability.
- Develop schematics, select components, and oversee PCB buildouts.
- Work with the Test Engineering team to develop customized PCBA for signal conditioning and testing.
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering.
- Provide support for sustaining and new product issues in Manufacturing and the field.
- Support continual cost reduction efforts and maintain company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor Of Science in Electrical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in electronics systems design and development; 1 years experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment is desirable.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experience should include microcontrollers, power supplies, and RF circuits.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout
- Experience with developing electronics products for wet environments a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to multitask and prioritize a changing workload.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Possess problem-solving skills and decision-making and can drive solutions to completion.
- Ability to interact with coworkers, suppliers, and customers.
- Ability to travel internationally and willing to attend global meetings in different time zones
Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000
