Role Description The Flooring Sales Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Colorado Springs, CO, with some flexibility to work from home. This role is responsible for greeting and assisting customers in the showroom, understanding their flooring needs, and recommending appropriate products and solutions. Daily tasks include preparing estimates and quotes, measuring or coordinating measurement appointments, and following up with leads and existing customers to move projects forward. The specialist will coordinate with installers and suppliers, manage order details, and ensure accurate and timely communication with clients throughout each project. Additional responsibilities include maintaining showroom displays, updating product knowledge, handling basic administrative tasks related to sales, and using phone, email, and digital tools to support both in-person and remote customer interactions.
Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in retail sales, home improvement, or flooring products, with the ability to learn product features and benefits quickly.
- Proven customer service skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a consultative approach to helping clients select flooring solutions.
- Basic math and measurement skills to support accurate estimates, quotes, and project planning.
- Comfort using computers and common software (email, spreadsheets, CRM or POS systems) to manage customer information and sales activities.
- Ability to work on-site in Colorado Springs, CO, with some work-from-home tasks, and to occasionally visit project sites as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects, timelines, and orders simultaneously.
- Capability to safely lift and move flooring samples and materials as part of showroom and customer support activities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior sales or flooring experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings or weekends based on customer needs.
