Janitor / Custodial Technician (Federal Facility – Contingent on Contract Award)

$19.00 – $21.00 per hour (based on experience)

This position is contingent upon contract award.
Employment will begin only if Xplicit Technologies, LLC is awarded the federal janitorial services contract for this location. Applicants will be notified immediately upon award.
Schedule & Frequency
- One (1) cleaning day per week
- Cleaning must be performed Monday–Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM
- No weekend or holiday work
- Approximately 4–6 hours per week (estimate based on facility size)

Position Summary
Xplicit Technologies, LLC is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Janitor / Custodial Technician to support a U.S. Forest Service office at the Comanche National Grassland. This role is ideal for someone who values consistency, independence, and taking pride in maintaining a professional federal workspace.
The selected individual will also serve as the on-site supervisor during cleaning activities and will work independently while adhering strictly to federal facility rules and security requirements.
Scope of Work & Cleaning DutiesWeekly Cleaning (Primary Duties)
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, dispensers, partitions, floors, and walls
- Clean kitchen area, including sink, countertops, cabinets, and appliance exteriors
- Clean and sanitize drinking fountains
- Dust horizontal surfaces in offices and common areas (desks, tables, chairs, shelves, cabinets, windowsills)
- Vacuum all carpeted areas
- Sweep and mop kitchen, restroom, hallway, and storage floors
- Clean front entrance glass (interior and exterior)
- Polish kick plates and push bars
- Sweep outside entrance area
- Empty all trash receptacles, replace liners, and dispose of trash in the designated dumpster
Monthly Cleaning
- Dust wall surfaces within 70 inches of the floor
- Dust vertical and under surfaces (knee wells, chair rungs, table legs)
- Spot clean walls and carpeted areas as needed
Semi-Annual Cleaning (April & September)
- Clean interior and exterior windows and window sills
- Dust and clean blinds
- Clean hot and cold air vents
- Strip and apply two coats of floor finish to kitchen and restroom floors
- Clean doors and door frames
Annual Cleaning (April)
- Shampoo all carpeted floors
- Advance notice provided so office staff can prepare
- No furniture moving required
Security & Conduct Requirements
This is a federal facility. Strict rules apply:
- Must pass a federal background investigation (HSPD-12)
- Must not disturb papers, open drawers, or use government equipment
- Must secure doors and turn off lights before leaving
- No smoking in the building
- No unauthorized individuals allowed on site
- Professional conduct and appearance required at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and follow detailed instructions
- Comfortable working in a secure federal environment
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
