What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reprographics Print Operator position at XPB Americas?
Summary Description: Under minimum supervision, responsible for ensuring customer work is completed on time and accurately, Experience using high-volume printers/copiers is a must. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite and Acrobat is also a must, as well as a working understanding of the fiery printing software. Must be skilled in multiple types of finishing: Wire-o; 3 hole drill, etc...)
Essential Job Functions
- Ensure that job tickets are properly filled out before beginning work.
- Perform copy, print, minor scanning and intake functions as needed and according to established procedures.
- Communicate with supervisor or client on job or deadline issues.
- Proficient - Expert communication skills; especially when dealing with clients - On a daily basis: prioritize work assignments based on deadlines, overall site workload, machine capability and job needs.
- Meet negotiated deadlines for print requests.
- Competent - Proficient skill with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS and Adobe Acrobat
- Able to use Fiery equipment to produce high volume color finishes on published documents
- Use the functions on the printers (including advanced printing/copying software)
- Troubleshoot basic equipment problems.
- Perform basic printer upkeep including loading paper, replacing toner waste and/or staple cartridges, and clearing jams
- Operating binding equipment and performing finishing requests
- Processing printing requests (both hard copy and electronic), locating printing orders, and preparing orders for shipping
- Ability to work overtime - minimal
- Ability to work in team environment or independently
- Ability to follow directives and adhere to processing procedures
- Ability to lift and move up to 50lb with or without assistance
- Maintain all work logs for reporting purposes
- Hours: M-F 9:00 am- 6:00pm
