Job Title: Marine Systems Technician (MST)

Position Summary:
We are seeking experienced Marine Systems Technicians (MSTs) to support U.S. Navy small craft maintenance and operations in San Diego, CA. This is a high-responsibility technical role requiring deep mechanical, electrical, and operational experience across multiple engine platforms and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and factory warranty service on Yamaha, Honda, Mercury, and Evinrude-Johnson outboard engines.
- Conduct inboard engine repairs on Cummins and Westerbeke systems, as factory trained.
- Maintain and repair small boat hulls, structures, and auxiliary systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install basic boat electrical and distribution systems.
- Assist in the launch and recovery of small boats in operational environments.
- Maintain service records and documentation for inspection and reporting.
Required Qualifications:
- Factory warranty certification in at least one of the following out-board engine types: Yamaha, Honda, Mercury, or Evinrude-Johnson.
- Factory training in at least one of the following out-board engines: Cummins and Westerbeke.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-certification experience performing unsupervised work at a high-functioning level on small boat hull and ancillary equipment.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-certification experience performing unsupervised work at a high-functioning level with basic boat wiring and electrical distribution systems
- Experience in launch and recovery of small boats
- Ability to provide documentation of certifications and OEM factory training at time of proposal submission.
- Ability to obtain Navy Coxswain qualification to operate boats, IAW US Navy boat Coxswain requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- U.S. Navy Coxswain qualified, per Navy standards.
- U.S. Navy small craft operations or maintenance background.
- Experience with Navy inspection standards or readiness assessments.
- Familiarity with military operational environments
