Summary
The Product Project Manager owns the execution of the product once an order is released for delivery.
This role translates customer commitments into a manufactured, tested, documented product that is ready to ship and install. The Product PM leads cross‑functional execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and quality to ensure delivery on time, on cost, and on quality.
What You Own End‑to‑End
- Product execution from order release through shipment readiness
- Schedule, cost, and quality performance of the manufactured product
- Readiness of all tests, inspections, and quality documentation
- Completeness of documentation required for field installation and service
What You Do
- Lead day‑to‑day coordination across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and quality
- Ensure engineering releases and manufacturing work instructions are complete and approved
- Ensure materials, capacity, and logistics plans align with delivery commitments
- Manage risks, changes, and deviations impacting scope, cost, or schedule
- Ensure factory testing and acceptance activities are completed and documented
- Prepare and hand over a complete service readiness package prior to shipment

- Service Project Managers who own field execution after shipment
- Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Quality teams
What You Do Not Own
- Customer relationship management or commercial negotiations
- On‑site installation, start‑up, or commissioning execution
- Direct management of field technicians or subcontractors
First‑Year Focus
- Stabilize manufacturing readiness and execution discipline
- Reduce late changes and execution surprises
- Improve product and documentation handover quality to Service
- Strengthen cross‑functional delivery performance

Accountable
