What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kids Majorette/Hip Hop Choreographer position at XMotive, LLC?
XMotive Dance Studio is a growing dance studio in Hampton focused on youth development, performance teams, and community engagement. We are currently seeking a Kids Hip Hop Dance Team Instructor to help lead and develop our youth program for dancers ages 7-12, and 13-18 years of age.
This is a paid instructor opportunity and is not part of our Instructor Membership program. The selected instructor will be contracted by XMotive to teach and develop the youth team.
Position Overview
The Kids Hip Hop Dance Team Instructor will be responsible for teaching weekly practices, creating choreography, preparing dancers for performances, and helping build a positive team culture.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, dependable, creative, and passionate about working with children.
Responsibilities
- Lead weekly youth team practices
- Create age-appropriate choreography
- Prepare dancers for performances and showcases
- Foster confidence, teamwork, and discipline
- Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
- Communicate with studio leadership regarding attendance and team needs
- Assist with recruitment and team growth when needed
Qualifications
- Dance teaching or choreography experience preferred
- Experience working with children ages 7-12 preferred
- Hip Hop, Majorette, Performance Dance, or related experience
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently
Compensation
This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position.
Compensation is based on active team enrollment and program participation. Instructors receive compensation tied directly to the growth and success of their assigned program, with opportunities for additional compensation through performances, showcases, workshops, and special events.
This position offers significant growth potential as the program expands.
Schedule
