Duties
- Develop original dance routines and adapt choreography for different styles such as ballet, theater, cheerleading, and yoga-inspired movements
- Collaborate with directors, performers, and production teams to ensure choreography aligns with creative visions and production requirements
- Teach dance techniques and routines to students or performers, fostering a positive learning environment
- Rehearse with dancers regularly to refine movements, timing, and stage presence
- Incorporate diverse movement styles to enhance performance versatility and audience appeal
- Oversee costume choices, staging, and lighting cues related to choreography for seamless integration
- Provide constructive feedback to performers to improve technique and confidence
Experience
- Proven experience in choreography for theater productions, dance companies, or performance groups
- Strong background in ballet, with additional skills in cheerleading, yoga, or other movement disciplines preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students or performers of varying skill levels
- Experience teaching dance techniques and leading rehearsals in a professional setting
- Knowledge of stagecraft, lighting, and costume coordination related to dance performances
