Key Responsibilities:
· Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for both relational (e.g., SQL Database) and non-relational (e.g., Cosmos DB) databases in Azure.
· Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into data models.
· Implement best practices in data modeling, focusing on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
· Optimize data structures for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis, ensuring data integrity and security.
· Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, data flows, and metadata management.
· Support data integration efforts with ETL tools and ensure seamless data movement across various systems.
· Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in Azure data technologies, relational and non-relational databases.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Proven experience in data modeling for both relational and non-relational databases, particularly in Azure.
· Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Fabric, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Factory.
· Strong understanding of database design principles and data governance practices.
· Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
· Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills:
· Knowledge of cloud-based data architecture patterns and data integration strategies.
· Familiarity with Data Governance tools like Collibra and ETL/ELT processes and tools.
· Experience in agile methodologies and project management.
