Location: Allen, TX

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 Hourly (DOE)

Schedule:

• 1st shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a small industrial maintenance team. You will perform preventative maintenance, light repairs, and general upkeep of a 250,000 square foot distribution center. This includes maintaining equipment, buildings, and the outside yard to support warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including conveyors, racking systems, and dock doors
• Conduct basic HVAC repairs and adjustments
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs throughout the facility
• Maintain material handling equipment and building infrastructure
• Operate forklifts, utility carts, power washers, sweepers, scrubbers, man-lifts, hand tools, and power tools
• Perform basic fabrication, including minor welding
• Assemble equipment as required
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility
• Paint columns, walls, floors, parking lots, and equipment
• Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs
• Enter work order and maintenance information into the Maintenance Management system
• Communicate status of work orders and projects to management
• Perform duties in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, millwright, and general mechanical fields
• Detect and report defective materials, faulty operations, and unusual conditions
• Follow safety regulations and guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5 years of mechanical experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
• Journeyman’s license for electrical work is a plus
• Forklift certification or ability to safely operate a forklift
• Ability to read and understand operator manuals, maintenance manuals, equipment specifications, blueprints, and schematics
• Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical assemblies and electrical sequences
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and self-motivation
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with team members and management
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 100 lbs
