Position Overview: As Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of production machinery, equipment, and facility systems. Skills in mechanical and electrical systems, troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive maintenance approach are critical in minimizing downtime, optimizing equipment performance, and supporting a smooth manufacturing operation.
Position Duties:
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
• Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust machinery and equipment to maintain operational efficiency and extend lifespan.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, analyze root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions to minimize production disruptions.
• Perform scheduled equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments to meet production requirements.
• Source and procure necessary parts, tools, and equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing input on equipment modifications, process enhancements, and efficiency improvements.
• Train and assist production personnel in the safe operation and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and external vendors regarding equipment performance, maintenance needs, and potential issues.
Position Requirements:
• Must have HVAC experience
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, industrial controls, and instrumentation knowledge.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various manufacturing equipment, including mixers, conveyors, packaging machines, and facility systems.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to maintenance emergencies outside regular working hours.
