Job Summary
The Veg Technician is responsible for maintaining plant health during the vegetative stage, ensuring optimal growth, structure, and readiness for flowering. This role requires hands-on plant care, attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict SOPs.
Responsibilities
- Watering and feeding plants according to schedule (hand-water or automated systems)
- Able to install and repair Irrigation lines, emitters
- Monitoring plant health and identifying early signs of pests, disease, or nutrient deficiencies
- Pruning, topping, plants
- Transplanting clones into veg containers
- Maintaining clean and organized workspaces (sanitation is critical)
- Mixing nutrients and checking EC/pH levels
- Recording daily logs (watering times, plant observations, environmental data)
- Assisting with IPM (Integrated Pest Management) protocols
- Supporting cloning and propagation tasks as needed
Requirements
- Previous cannabis cultivation or agriculture experience preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in humid, warm environments
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Must be 21 and able to work in a licensed cannabis facility
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in indoor cultivation environments
- Familiarity with environmental controls (HVAC, lighting schedules)
- Understanding of nutrient regimens and plant physiology
- Experience with IPM strategies
