Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dental professionals in providing high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists and dental professionals during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment areas.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and provide appropriate assistance throughout treatment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by applicable regulations and credentials.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Perform chairside assisting and provide appropriate support during dental procedures.
- Prepare dental materials, instruments, and equipment for procedures.
- Follow infection-control, sterilization, and workplace safety procedures.
- Provide patients with basic instructions regarding oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked treatment areas.
- Monitor and maintain dental equipment and supplies.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with patients, dentists, and other healthcare staff.
- Follow all applicable healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential/license as required by the state.
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, procedures, and infection-control practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Pay: Up to $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
