Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ABAP Architect to support our client, Boeing, on critical SAP transformation and development initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ABAP design, hands-on development, system integration, and solution architecture across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and development of SAP ABAP solutions.
- Drive technical strategy, code standards, performance optimization, and scalable solution design.
- Collaborate with functional teams (SD, MM, FI, PP, WM, EWM, HCM, etc.) to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Lead ABAP development for ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP upgrades or migration projects.
- Design and develop complex RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
- Develop OData services, CDS views, and SAP Fiori integration.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot performance issues, and guide development best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams for solution integration, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and governance for ABAP development teams.
- Support project planning, estimations, and architectural decision-making.
- 12 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong architectural experience with end-to-end ABAP design and technical leadership.
- Expertise in S/4HANA development tools — CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, OData.
- Deep understanding of SAP modules and cross-functional integration.
- Hands-on experience with complex RICEFW objects and performance tuning.
- Experience integrating SAP with third-party systems.
- Strong understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5 development concepts.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead a distributed team.
- Willingness to travel to Indianapolis as needed.
- Boeing or aerospace industry experience.
- SAP certifications in ABAP or S/4HANA.
- Experience with BTP (Business Technology Platform) development.
