Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Food Service Worker to assist with food preparation, meal distribution, kitchen sanitation, and maintaining a clean and safe food service environment. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while following food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing, portioning, and serving meals according to established procedures.
- Set up food service stations, trays, utensils, and dining areas.
- Distribute meals to patients, residents, staff, or customers as required.
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, food preparation areas, and dining spaces.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
- Store food items properly and monitor expiration dates.
- Maintain appropriate food temperatures and follow food handling guidelines.
- Replenish food, beverages, condiments, and supplies as needed.
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and kitchen supplies.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Follow workplace safety policies and instructions from supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous food service, cafeteria, kitchen, or housekeeping experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an advantage.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry food supplies and equipment as required.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must comply with applicable background checks and facility requirements.
