Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture, deployment, optimization, and continuous management of mission-critical database systems that support essential operations and public services.
Seeking a senior Oracle DBA with GoldenGate to support enterprise data replication and modernization initiatives across hybrid cloud and streaming platforms. The role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting real-time CDC pipelines, GoldenGate replication environments, and integrations with Kafka and cloud-based data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- RAC Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-node Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Automatic Storage Management (ASM) to ensure 24/7 service availability.
- Data Guard Management: Architect and manage physical/logical standby databases using Oracle Data Guard and Data Guard Broker for seamless failover and robust disaster recovery capabilities.
- GoldenGate Replication: Design, implement, and monitor complex data replication topologies using Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data integration, zero-downtime migrations, and active-active environments.
2. Infrastructure & Cloud Operations
- Exadata Administration: Manage large-scale Oracle Exadata Database Machines (On-Premises or Cloud@Customer), including compute nodes, storage cells, cell software upgrades, and Exadata-specific optimizations (Smart Scans, Hybrid Columnar Compression).
- OCI Cloud Management: Architect and migrate enterprise database workloads to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Oversee OCI database services, tenancy management, and cloud networking/security controls.
3. Database Maintenance, Performance & Automation
- Performance Tuning: Conduct deep-dive analysis and optimization of database instances and SQL statements using AWR, ASH, ADDM, and SQL Profiles to ensure optimal application performance.
- Backup & Recovery: Design and execute robust enterprise-level backup and recovery strategies utilizing RMAN and integrated backup appliances.
- Automation: Develop and maintain Shell (Korn/Bash), Python, or PL/SQL scripts to automate routine DBA operational tasks, space management, and health checks.
4. Security & Compliance
- Database Security: Implement robust security measures including Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), unified auditing, user access controls, and regular vulnerability remediation to meet stringent compliance and governance standards.
- Patching: Plan and execute regular database lifecycle management tasks, including Oracle Release Updates (RU), OPatch, and major version upgrades (e.g., upgrading to Oracle 19c/23c).
