Production Planner
The Production Planner supports the scheduling and tracking of all production activities to ensure jobs are completed on time and resources are used efficiently. This role works closely with team leads, supervisors, engineers, purchasing, logistics, and plant management to communicate schedules, monitor progress, and resolve issues. Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills are essential.
Job Duties:
· Assist in creating and maintaining production schedules.
· Track progress of jobs through production and update status regularly.
· Communicate schedule changes clearly with team leads, supervisors, and other departments.
· Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and engineering to ensure materials and resources are available.
· Support daily and short-term planning activities; help identify potential delays or conflicts.
· Participate in team meetings, such as schedule reviews, and provide input on progress.
· Help with basic capacity checks and reporting daily production output.
· Follow established processes and quality standards.
· Take initiative to learn and improve scheduling and tracking skills.
Requirements
· Associate degree in Business or related field preferred.
· 0–2 years of experience in a related role.
· Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge
· Basic ERP Knowledge
· Detail oriented
· Strong follow-up skills
· Ability to multi-task and problem solve
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Fast learner
· Prior experience with production planning or parts preferred
· Minimum of Associate’s Degree preferred
