Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Estimator to prepare accurate, well-reasoned electrical estimates for commercial, multifamily, and institutional construction projects. This role requires strong technical judgment, disciplined document review, and a solid understanding of electrical systems and field construction practices.
The estimator will support preconstruction efforts by defining project scope, preparing material and labor takeoffs, developing pricing, and reviewing total job costs for bid submission.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Estimator to prepare accurate, well-reasoned electrical estimates for commercial, multifamily, and institutional construction projects. This role requires strong technical judgment, disciplined document review, and a solid understanding of electrical systems and field construction practices.
The estimator will support preconstruction efforts by defining project scope, preparing material and labor takeoffs, developing pricing, and reviewing total job costs for bid submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform detailed quantity and material takeoffs for services, feeders, branch wiring, devices, lighting, and site electrical work.
- Prepare takeoffs for controls, fire alarm, low-voltage systems, and EV charging infrastructure as required.
- Develop labor projections and pricing based on construction scope.
- Identify scope gaps, coordination issues, and concerns within bid documents.
- Review and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotes for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Assist in preparing scope narratives, clarifications, and exclusions for proposals.
- Support preconstruction meetings, scope reviews, and bid leveling discussions.
- Assist with estimate handoff, procurement support, and change-order pricing as needed.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical estimating experience or estimating and field experience.
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Accubid, CountFire, Bluebeam).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to identify risk areas, scope concerns, and questions requiring clarification.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document assumptions and scope accurately.
- Multifamily, Commercial, healthcare, or mixed-use construction preferred.
- Additional Trades (i.e. HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Systems, etc...)
