Technical Product Owner – Customer Technical Products

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead delivery and execution across the Customer Technical Products organization. This role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of data products, integration services, and technical delivery initiatives spanning Customer, Meter, Billing, and Payment domains.

The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership capabilities with proven technical delivery leadership, including project/program management, vendor management, and financial oversight. This individual will partner across engineering, architecture, business, and external vendor teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-quality delivery across a complex enterprise portfolio.

This role operates at a broader scope than a traditional domain-specific Product Owner and plays a key role in driving consistency, governance, and execution excellence across multiple technical product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage cross-product roadmaps, priorities, and backlog alignment across Customer Technical Products domains

• Support delivery across:

  • Customer Data Services

  • Meter Data Services

  • Billing Data Services

  • Payment Data Services

  • Technical build and delivery teams

• Lead end-to-end delivery across the Plan / Build / Run lifecycle for enterprise data products and integration services

• Drive project and program management activities including:

  • Scope, schedule, risk, and dependency management

  • Cross-team coordination and portfolio alignment

  • Delivery tracking and governance reporting

• Manage vendor relationships and delivery execution, including:

  • Vendor onboarding and evaluation

  • Delivery quality and accountability

  • Coordination across multi-vendor environments

• Oversee financial management activities including:

  • Budgeting and forecasting

  • Cost tracking and funding alignment across initiatives

  • Portfolio-level financial visibility and reporting

• Partner with engineering, architecture, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reusable technical solutions

• Ensure consistency in delivery execution, governance standards, and operational processes across product teams

• Support portfolio-level planning, prioritization, and executive reporting

• Drive integration and reuse of enterprise data products across systems, channels, and business functions

Minimum Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in technical product ownership, IT delivery leadership, program management, or related roles

• Strong experience leading complex, cross-functional technical initiatives in enterprise environments

• Proven project/program management experience including risk, dependency, and stakeholder management

• Experience managing vendors and delivery partners in multi-vendor environments

• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking across multiple initiatives

• Experience working with data platforms, APIs, integration services, or enterprise technical products

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate effectively across technical and business teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the utilities industry, including Meter-to-Cash, customer, billing, metering, or payment domains

• Experience supporting multiple product domains simultaneously within large enterprise portfolios

• Familiarity with cloud and data engineering technologies including AWS, APIs, pipelines, and integration platforms

• Experience operating within enterprise portfolio planning, governance, and delivery frameworks

• Experience working within matrixed organizations and distributed delivery models
