Part-Time Preschool Aide
Under the general supervision of the Principal, the Preschool Aide supports the classroom teacher in supervising and instructing students. This role helps create a well-organized, safe, and engaging learning environment that supports children’s development and educational success.

Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support
- Assist the teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Prepare and clean up materials for lessons and activities
- Support individual and group instruction
- Supervise students during classroom time, outdoor play, assemblies, and emergency drills
- Assist with caregiving routines and implement respectful, responsive caregiving practices
- Actively engage children in meaningful and age-appropriate learning experiences
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students
- Receive and set up snacks and meals
- Maintain cleanliness of food service areas
- Supervise children during meals and encourage healthy habits
- Assist with the implementation of health and emergency procedures
- Report accidents immediately and document them in writing
- Follow first aid protocols as needed
- Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and parents
- Refer all parent concerns or questions to the classroom teacher
- Assist volunteers in the classroom
- Maintain confidentiality about students, staff, and school matters
- Attend staff meetings and in-service training as required
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability
- Maintain positive, cooperative relationships with school and parish staff
- Be flexible and willing to perform other duties as assigned
- Be punctual, reliable, and adaptable to classroom needs
- Model virtue, justice, and professionalism in conduct and dress
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Preschool Director
- Active supervision of children in both indoor and outdoor environments
- Must meet the physical demands required to care for young children, including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and moving throughout indoor/outdoor environments safely.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to supervise and engage children both indoors and outdoors
- Willingness to learn and grow in early childhood education practices
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with staff
- Commitment to professional and ethical behavior
