Job Summary:

The Electrician is a skilled trades position responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems serving Xanterra facilities throughout Yellowstone National Park. This position supports hospitality operations including guest lodging, restaurants, employee housing, retail locations, warehouses, maintenance facilities, and administrative buildings

Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: Discussed at time of interview
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems in commercial, hospitality, residential, industrial, and utility applications.
•   Diagnose and repair electrical distribution systems, branch circuits, panelboards, disconnects, transformers, motors, motor controls, relays, contactors, and associated equipment.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot interior and exterior lighting systems, emergency
  lighting, occupancy sensors, timers, photocells, and lighting control systems.
• Install and repair receptacles, switches, breakers, GFCI/AFCI devices, surge protection
  devices, and low-voltage electrical components.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues associated with guest accommodations, employee housing,
  commercial kitchens, dining facilities, laundry operations, retail locations, and
  administrative buildings.
• Support the maintenance and repair of electrical components serving HVAC equipment,
  boilers, pumps, motors, refrigeration systems, exhaust systems, kitchen equipment, and
  laundry equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical
  manuals.
• Perform electrical inspections and ensure installations meet National Electrical Code
  (NEC), OSHA, NFPA, National Park Service, and company requirements.
  Support facility renovations, capital projects, equipment replacements, and energy efficiency
  initiatives.
• Coordinate with maintenance stores and purchasing personnel to maintain appropriate
  electrical parts and inventory levels.
• Perform, document, and track maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance
  Management Systems (CMMS) and work order software.
• Assist with facility opening and closing activities, emergency repairs, and after-hours
  service calls as necessary.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to maintenance staff and assist with skills
  development.

Required:

• Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in commercial, industrial,
  hospitality, institutional, or residential electrical maintenance and construction.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with limited
  supervision.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safe electrical work
  practices.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing: Electrical distribution systems, Service panels and subpanels, Circuit breakers and disconnects, Motors and motor controls, Variable frequency drives (VFDs), Lighting systems and controls, HVAC electrical systems, Commercial kitchen equipment, 
  Pumps and boiler controls, Emergency and backup power systems, Low-voltage control circuits,
  Building automation and control systems
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computerized maintenance management systems
  (CMMS).
• Ability to train and mentor less experienced maintenance personnel.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, flexible schedules, and respond to emergency call-outs
  as needed.

Preferred:

• Journeyman Electrician, Master Electrician, or Electrical Contractor License highly
  preferred but not required as a condition of hire.
• Candidates with strong electrical experience who are not currently licensed are
  encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, life-safety, and electrical safety standards.

Physical Requirements include:

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Able to walk up to a half mile over uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, stand, bend,
  kneel and crawl in all types of weather conditions at elevations exceeding 6,000 ft.
• May require work in confined spaces and permit-required confined spaces.
• May require the use of respiratory protection and compliance with the applicable respiratory
  protection program regulations, including restrictions on the length and location of facial
  hair.
