Senior Project Manager – Advanced Manufacturing (Traveling)
Summary/Objective
The Senior Project Manager is a key representative of our client and is responsible for leading, managing, and providing oversight of assigned complex construction projects. The primary goal is meeting the owner's needs and exceeding their expectations by delivering quality, high-tech facilities on schedule and at the most competitive prices. The Senior Project Manager is expected to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients and subcontractors to support the ongoing growth of the company’s Advanced Manufacturing portfolio within the Greater Chicago Area. This is specifically for a $200M aseptic fill/finish project for a global pharmaceutical client. This role is expected to be a full-time traveling position (50-100%).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule Development: Assist the Project Team in the development of the master construction schedule, accounting for long-lead equipment procurement and complex commissioning phases.
- Progress Management: Manage the project schedule and drive construction site progress to achieve completion of the project on-time and on-budget.
- Subcontractor Oversight: Select, coordinate, and oversee highly specialized subcontractors working on various phases of Chicago-based advanced manufacturing projects (including cleanrooms, complex MEP systems, and process piping).
- Procurement: Work with the Project Team to develop and issue specialized subcontracts and purchase orders for specialized facility components.
- Leadership: Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the Project Team.
- Field Support: Support the Project Superintendent in the field execution of the project and coordinate vendor/client equipment installations (tool hookups).
- Compliance & Permitting: Responsible for the proper administration of construction contracts and for ensuring compliance with all local Chicago building codes, environmental regulations, permits, and licensing requirements.
- Closeout Management: Manage the preparation and execution of the project closeout process, including strict facility qualification, validation support, and turnover documentation.
- Financial Accountability: Hold overall financial responsibility against the established budget, including the management of Change Orders and contingency funds.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent and clear communication with internal team members and external customers, translating technical project complexities effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Manage the project closeout phase, including all administrative, safety, and physical requirements needed to successfully close an industrial facility.

Salary : $175,000 - $180,000
