We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to technical specifications and production schedules
- Programme and adjust CNC equipment using CAD and SolidWorks files
- Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and quality standards are maintained
- Conduct routine inspections of tooling and fixtures, replacing or adjusting as necessary
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery
- Handle materials safely, ensuring proper storage, movement, and disposal
- Use hand tools for minor repairs or adjustments as required
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication of parts
- Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, and quality checks
- Collaborate with team members in assembly, fabrication, or welding tasks when needed
Skills
- Proficiency in fabrication techniques and understanding of milling processes
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, materials handling, and equipment maintenance
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic maths calculations for measurements and tolerances
- Familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous but not essential
- Competence in using hand tools for assembly or minor repairs
- Previous warehouse experience or experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in production processes
