Deputy General Manager

Our client is seeking a Deputy General Manager for an excellent on-site position located near the Stockbridge, GA area. Reporting to the GM and part of the plant leadership team, this role is responsible for:

• Assist in managing plant operations across all functions to include Production, Engineering, Quality, HSE, Accounting, and HR.
• Develop, Implement, and review all policies, processes and procedures to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Review performance and KPI's, operational budget, and report up to plant and executive leadership.
• Monitor production and staffing levels to achieve production and budget goals.
• Manage on-going projects
• Foster a continuous improvement culture across all functions, that enables a safer and more efficient operation
• Responsible for developing training programs and goal for all plant employees

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years progressive management experience in a high-volume 3-shift plant or production environment.
• Continuous Improvement or Lean experience. Certifications a plus
• Strong experience with safety practices in a manufacturing/production environment. Training and Certifications preferred
• Experience building and managing budget and process
• Prior experience managing various types of workforces (hourly, salary, temporary, etc.)
• Comfortable with business applications to include ERP, Scheduling, WMS, and Microsoft products.
• Excellent verbal, written, executive, and customer communication skills
