What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Manager - Subscriptions position at Wyze?
About Wyze
At Wyze, we make smart home technology accessible to everyone. We're known for disrupting markets with high-quality, affordable products - from cameras to lighting to sensors and more. We believe technology should simplify life, not complicate it. We’re a fast-moving, customer-obsessed team driven by curiosity and powered by data.
The Opportunity
Millions of customers use our product every day. In this role, you’ll lead new product initiatives that turn user engagement into long-term subscriber relationships - through premium features, AI-powered capabilities, and product-led conversion experiences. You’ll own the full lifecycle: discovery, build, launch, measurement, and iteration.
This role sits within the subscription business and focuses on growth-oriented product initiatives, especially in areas with meaningful upside and some ambiguity. Dig into: new premium features and packaging, AI-powered subscription experiences, upsell and expansion moments inside the product, retention and churn reduction initiatives, and customer lifecycle improvements from trial through renewal.
What You’ll Do
Lead product initiatives from concept through iteration, including:
- Identifying customer needs, market opportunities, and growth levers
- Define product strategy and requirements for new subscription features and experiences
- Partner with design, engineering, data, QA, and adjacent product teams to build and launch
- Own product performance after launch through measurement, experimentation, and iteration
- Improve subscription conversion, engagement, retention, and lifecycle performance
- Help shape premium value propositions across software, AI, and connected-device experiences
- Collaborate across software and hardware teams where product experiences intersect
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone with strong product judgment, a high ownership mindset, and a deep understanding of how subscription businesses work.
- 5 years of product management experience, with meaningful ownership of subscription or recurring-revenue products
- Experience leading products end-to-end - from discovery through launch and iteration - including building and shipping AI/ML-powered features and measuring their impact on user behavior or business outcomes.
- Strong fluency in subscription metrics such as conversion, churn, retention, engagement, and LTV
- Track record of using data and customer insight to drive product decisions
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, engineering, analytics, and go-to-market partners
- Demonstrated ability to apply modern AI tools in day-to-day work to move faster, improve product quality, and raise the bar for team execution.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and building in fast-moving environments
What success looks like
In this role, success means you can spot the right opportunities, turn them into product bets, and drive measurable business impact. You know how to balance customer experience with commercial outcomes and, in AI-powered areas, how to balance quality, trust, and cost. You’re thoughtful, analytical, and practical. You don’t wait for the perfect process. You move, learn, and improve.
Why this role matters at Wyze
Our subscription business is a critical part of the company’s long-term growth and profitability. Your mandate is to define what customers pay for next, how we deliver that value, and how we build durable recurring relationships over time.
The base pay range for this role is $163,000 – $215,000 per year bonus equity benefits
Salary : $163,000 - $215,000
