Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Write detailed service estimates using computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools and auto estimating software
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and estimated completion times
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engine repairs, and transmission services
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately while maintaining proper documentation
- Coordinate with parts departments to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs
- Provide clear explanations of repair procedures and costs to customers, ensuring transparency and trust
- Assist in vehicle maintenance scheduling and follow-up to maximize shop efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Support sales efforts by recommending appropriate automotive repair services and vehicle maintenance plans
- Maintain detailed records of all service writing activities and customer interactions
Experience
- Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician within a dealership or automotive repair shop
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, auto body repair, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and auto estimating tools
- Hands-on mechanic experience with transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, alignment, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, air brake systems, diesel engines, and other automotive repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Prior experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus but not required
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record to test drive vehicles as needed

Pay: $1,600.00 - $4,000.00 per month
