Duties
- Conduct thorough interior and exterior inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify signs of pest infestations, structural damage, and entry points
- Identify and treat wood-destroying organisms (WDOs), including subterranean termites, drywood termites, and other common pest species
- Install termite baiting systems, perform post-construction treatments, and apply termite spot treatments
- Select, mix, and apply EPA-approved chemical solutions, powders, and granules to eliminate and prevent pest infestations
- Utilize integrated pest management (IPM) methods and techniques appropriate to each infestation type
- Operate company vehicles, power sprayers, foggers, dusters, drills, and a variety of hand and power tools
- Communicate service findings, treatment options, and prevention recommendations clearly to clients
- Maintain accurate, legible service records, work orders, and chemical usage logs as required by EPA regulations
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding pesticide use and worker safety
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all applications and treatments
- Perform routine follow-up inspections to verify treatment effectiveness and address recurring issues
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum one (1) year of general construction, pest control, or related field technician experience.
- Basic knowledge of building construction and the ability to identify pest entry points and structural vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with integrated pest management (IPM) principles and EPA-approved pesticide application methods
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Wyoming Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire) as required by the Wyoming Department of Agriculture
- EPA Registered Pesticide Technician certification preferred
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
