Assistant Football Coach/Quarterbacks Coach/Classroom Teacher (ALE History, Math, Science, or PE)

Reports To:

• Head Football Coach.
• Athletic Director.
• Building Principal.

Payment Rate:

• According to the Wynne School District Salary Schedule.

Qualifications:

• Current Arkansas Teaching License.
• Current Arkansas Coaching Endorsement.
• 1st Aid/CPR Certification.
• CDL Preferred.

Assistant Coaching Responsibilities:

• Quarterback Development:
• • Coach QBs individually and in groups on throwing mechanics, reads, footwork, and decision-making.
  • Develop and implement QB-specific drills and training programs.
  • Teach offensive concepts and game strategy to QBs.
  • Analyze game film for QB performance and strategy.
• Team Assistance:
• • Assist the Head Coach in designing and running practices and offensive game plans.
  • Instruct players on general football techniques, rules, and safety.
  • Help organize equipment, manage team logistics, and assist with player eligibility/insurance.
  • Supervise players during practices, games, and travel.
• Mentorship & Culture:
• • Serve as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on and off the field.
• Administration & Communication:
• • Handle administrative duties like record-keeping, and statistics.
  • Stay current on coaching techniques, rules, and league policies.
• Necessary Skills:
• • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of football rules, strategies, and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Physical ability to perform coaching duties.

Classroom Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Student Support:
  • • Provide individualized help, support social-emotional development, and adapt lessons for special needs students.
  • Communication:
  • • Maintain regular contact with parents/guardians and collaborate with colleagues and school staff.
  • Professionalism:
  • • Participate in professional development, stay current with best practices, and fulfill school duties.

• • Deliver instruction for specific subjects or grade levels.
  • Prepare materials and manage classroom resources.
