Receiving Specialist

Job Scope:

The Receiving Specialist is responsible for receiving deliveries at the Company’s production facility.  Duties include:  verifying that quantities received are proper, verifying that the delivered products are correct, identifying the receipt of damaged or outdated products,  unloading delivered products and relocating to proper locations, and entering information into the Company’s ERP system.  May also perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming product for damage and over or short box counts, noting any discrepancies;
• Verify that products received are accurate by comparing purchase orders to packing slips; 
• Accurately put away the products received into the proper location;
• Post receiving information into the Company’s ERP system;
• Comply with good manufacturing practices (GMP) as required;
• Maintain a neat and orderly work space.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED;
• Must be able to lift 50 pound boxes;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Continuous standing and/or walking;
• 2 or more years' experience operating a forklift;
• Ability to work with others to accomplish tasks; good collaborative skills;
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends;
• Basic computer, Excel/Word and internet skills;
• WMS experience.
