Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assess and evaluate patients’ wounds to determine appropriate treatment strategies
- Develop and implement comprehensive wound care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Perform wound cleaning, dressing changes, and debridement procedures following best practices
- Monitor healing progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, hygiene, and prevention strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of wound assessments, treatments, and patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless patient management
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times
- Stay current with advances in wound care technology and techniques through ongoing education
Experience
- Valid Registered/LPN Nurse license with current state licensure required
- Prior experience in wound care or related clinical settings preferred
- Certification in Wound Care (such as CWCN or WCC)
- Strong knowledge of wound assessment tools, dressings, and infection prevention practices
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
- Proficiency in documentation systems and electronic health records (EHR) preferred
